India COVID-19 cases continue to rise

Health officials warn that expanding facilities is not enough to deal with the high number of coronavirus cases.

The Indian government has opened what it says will be the world’s largest temporary coronavirus treatment centre in New Delhi.

Meanwhile, the nation recorded yet another biggest single-day rise, with more than 17,000 new cases, making it the fourth worst-hit country in the world.
