Supreme Court decision on UK Parliament suspension next week

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson should find out next week whether his decision to suspend parliament ahead of the October 31 Brexit deadline was legal.

After a three-day emergency hearing, Supreme Court justices will soon rule on the lawfulness of the government’s prorogation of parliament.

On Thursday, they heard evidence delivered by the counsel of former Conservative Prime Minister John Major against the incumbent, Boris Johnson.

The Supreme Court has wrapped up its hearing in the case.
