US ambassador to Israel’s ties to settlements on Palestinian land

David Friedman, the US ambassador to Israel, has taken up his new post.

An ardent Zionist, Friedman has long ties to Jewish settlements on Palestinian land, considered illegal by international law.

He has raised millions of dollars as head of American Friends of Beit El, a Jewish settlement built on Palestinian-owned land close to Ramallah.
