This entire clash of cultures is really quite messy. It's difficult to break down the propaganda spewing forth. I'm going to be biased being from the UK but there is a perception over here that (Muslim) extremists want to kill us all for not being Muslims and to wipe all other ideologies from the face of the earth.

I imagine that the perceptions in the Middle East are that Westerners are hateful war junkies purely out to advance their economic stranglehold.

It's a serious mess and it is going to get much worse over the coming years when there is a resource shortfall.

One day I would like to visit the Middle East where we can come together as equals and have respect for our differences but I think a lot more folk are going to die before this takes place.
