Mike Pence in the Middle East on a three-day trip

The US vice president hopes to convince regional powers that Donald Trump is still an honest broker, but the Palestinian leaders have snubbed his visit.

US Vice President Mike Pence is on his way to the Middle East for a three-day trip to discuss moving the US embassy in Israel to Jerusalem.

The decision has provoked international anger.

Pence will go to Egypt, Jordan and spend two days in Israel where he will address the parliament.

The Palestinians have made it clear he is not welcome.
